Upgrading and promoting simultaneously

The following example table lists the different phases of upgrading your Test and Production environments, and promote jobs and folders between the Test and Production environments during the upgrade from 9.0.18.200 to 9.0.19.XXX. Promotions are available between the environment during all phases.

NOTE:

• Verify that the Control-M/EM server and the Control-M/Serve Test environments are 9.0.18.200
• Verify that the Control-M/EM server and the Control-M/Server Production environments are 9.0.18.200
• The Test/Production Control-M/EM server must be the same version, or different versions, with Compatibility mode- On and compatibility version
• The Test/Production Control-M/Server must be the same version.

  Phase	Procedure
  1	Upgrade the Control-M/EM server Test environment to 9.0.19.XXX. After the upgrade Compatibility Mode is set to On by default, and the compatibility version is 9.0.18.200.
  2	Upgrade the Control-M/Server Test environment to 9.0.19.XXX.
  3	Upgrade the Control-M/EM server Production environment to 9.0.19.XXX. After the upgrade Compatibility Mode is set to On by default, and the compatibility version is 9.0.18.200.
  4	Upgrade the Control-M/Server Production environment to 9.0.19.XXX.
  5	Turn Compatibility Mode Off for the Control-M/EM server Test and Production environments.
